Ambassador Stefanik is gonna be awesome

Of all of President-elect Trump's nominations for cabinet positions, I'm probably most excited about his pick for UN ambassador, New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.

(For what it’s worth, I wasn't exactly torn up by Matt Gaetz taking himself out of the running for Attorney General.)

After her fierce excoriation of Ivy League presidents over their universities’ lax attitude toward antisemitism on their campuses led to the resignations of Harvard’s Claudine Gay and UPenn’s Liz Magill, I couldn’t imagine anyone better suited than Stefanik to lay waste to corrupt, outdated, and ineffectual UN agencies — and specific employees.

She also rightfully pounced on Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for failing to notify the President —or anybody else— about his extended hospital stay in December and January.

There is so much that I’m looking forward to watching her accomplish that I find myself with no choice but to publish this piece in multiple posts. The items in my proposed laundry list aren’t in any particular order. I just wrote them down as they occurred to me.

Anyway, let’s get started.

1-Rescind Palestinian privileges

Let me begin by pointing out that “Palestine” is not a nation. Nor is it a state. It has never been either, ever.

Never in the history of the world has there been any such thing as a Palestinian state. Not before Israel. Not before the Ottomans, or the Mamluk Sultanate, or the Ayyubid Dynasty, or the Christians, or the Romans…you get the idea. No Palestinian state.
