What the Hell Just Happened?

So, I think it’s fair to say that things could have gone better for Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine yesterday.
As I watched (and rewatched, and rewatched) the diplomatic conflagration on TV, I couldn’t help but be reminded of a few instances, during my 15 weeks as a fraternity pledge, when I was treated with more adult dignity than a world leader was afforded in the Oval Office yesterday…even during an unbridled hazing session.
I know that some of you who’ve read my stuff for a while might be surprised to hear me say that, but we need to be fair about this whole mess and begin by getting a few things straight.
A couple of you beat me to it and sent messages asking my opinion of how things went down yesterday.
One of you slyly inserted “(while you're listening to Fox).”
Look, I get it. That’s the way I lean. I can’t help that. But that don’t make me deaf.
Battle stations
With few exceptions, the media and political factions immediately hurried to their appointed places of duty, as if in response to an air-raid drill.
